As dams are high-risk infrastructures with direct impacts on surrounding communities, this review serves as a preventive measure to strengthen disaster preparedness and minimize potential hazards.<\/span><p class=\"p2\" style=\"white-space: normal;\"><\/p><p class=\"p1\" style=\"white-space: normal;\">The scope of consultancy services covered:<\/p><p class=\"p3\" style=\"white-space: normal;\"><span class=\"s2\"><\/span><\/p><ul style=\"white-space: normal;\"><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Comprehensive evaluation<\/b><\/span>\u00a0of the existing EAP document, ensuring alignment with updated regulations and best practices in dam safety management.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Hydrological and hydraulic assessment<\/b><\/span>\u00a0to identify potential flood scenarios in case of dam failure or extreme events.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Field surveys and verification<\/b><\/span>\u00a0of dam structures, monitoring systems, and downstream conditions.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Hazard and vulnerability mapping<\/b><\/span>, including preparation of inundation maps for different emergency scenarios.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Community and stakeholder engagement<\/b><\/span>, involving government institutions, emergency response teams, and local communities in disaster preparedness.<\/p><\/li><li><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Formulation of recommendations<\/b><\/span>\u00a0to improve emergency procedures, command structures, communication protocols, and evacuation strategies.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p style=\"white-space: normal;\"><\/p><p class=\"p2\" style=\"white-space: normal;\"><\/p><p class=\"p1\" style=\"white-space: normal;\">This project emphasizes that an\u00a0<span class=\"s1\"><b>effective Emergency Action Plan<\/b><\/span>\u00a0must be both technically sound and socially inclusive.
